Since its inception in 2000, Carolina Rheumatology and Neurology Associates has been dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients with rheumatic and neurologic diseases. Over the years, we’ve built a reputation for excellence in diagnosis, treatment, and management of complex medical conditions.

Founded by Dr. Wendy Lee, a rheumatologist with over 25 years of experience, Carolina Rheumatology began as a small, one-doctor practice with the goal of offering specialized care to those living with rheumatic conditions. In 2004, Dr. Francis Benz, a board-certified neurologist with over 20 years of experience, joined Dr. Lee creating Carolina Rheumatology and Neurology Associates. Over the years, we have grown into a trusted community resource, expanding our team of experts, Dr. Mitch Twining and Dr. Kristin Etzkorn, as well as advanced practice providers, Amanda Robertson, DNP, AGPCNP and Sarah Ryan, PA-C.

Collaboration: We work closely with your primary care provider and other specialists for continuity of care
