  • Methyl Factors+ is a combination of nutrients that support methylation, a naturally occurring process that helps to maintain the body’s homocysteine levels. This process significantly affects regulation of the cardiovascular, reproductive, and neurological systems. Elevated homocysteine levels increases the risk for developing cardiovascular disorders, osteoporosis, and neurodegenerative disorders. Methyl Factors+ is a combination of riboflavin, vitamin B6, folate, vitamin B12, and betaine in the most bioavailable forms.
    • Riboflavin, or vitamin B2, plays a role in multiple processes including energy, cellular function, and vitamin metabolism. Riboflavin must be obtained through diet through sources like meat, milk, and green vegetables.
    • Vitamin B6 is dependent upon riboflavin for activation. B6 is especially beneficial for patients with the MTHFR mutation. Positive effects on homocysteine levels are most pronounced with used in combination with riboflavin, B12, and folate.
    • Folate, vitamin B9, plays a key role in maintaining appropriate levels of homocysteine.
    • Vitamin B12, cobalamin, is also essential for maintaining appropriate levels of homocysteine. Low levels of vitamin B12 may cause megaloblastic anemia or abnormal neurological symptoms.

  • Lactobacillus reuteri is a bacteria that is naturally found in the GI and urogenital tracts. This strain contributes to vaginal health through antimicrobial activity, biofilm formation, microbiome modulation, and immune modulation.
  • Lactobacillus rhamnosus is a probiotic known for its role in vaginal health including antimicrobial properties. This strain demonstrates antagonistic activity against bacterial and yeast species. Reduced recurrence of bacterial vaginosis was seen in multiple clinical studies.
  • Lactobacillus crispatus is a vaginal strain most strongly associated with optimal vaginal health. It produces large amounts of lactic acid to maintain optimal vaginal pH. Other benefits include anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties.
  • Lactobacillus gasseri is one of the four dominant vaginal species. It contributes to vaginal health through antimicrobial, activity, lactic acid production, immunomodulation, and epithelial adhesion. This strain also exhibits anti fungal activity against multiple yeast strains.
  • Lactobacillus jensenii is also one of the four dominant vaginal species. This strain also contributes to lactic acid production, antimicrobial activity, and hydrogen peroxide generation.
